Branding is something we like to circle back to and discuss every once in a while. A businesses brand is the foundation of a successfully ran company. In the past we have talked about creating brand awareness and consistency. Missed them? Read them here: There is so much to consider when it comes to your brand-your look, message, overall personality of your company, creating awareness and consistency. What more could there possibly be? Boosting your brand, of course! This also includes increasing your brands value. You may have a killer brand in place, but all good companies go unnoticed or get forgotten sometimes. Ready to get your brand back in the front of people’s minds? Read on for a few tips to do so. 1. Get Involved In your community that is. Simply getting involved is a great way to give your brand a boost, get recognized and also increase the trust and value of your brand. Hosting a focus group, guest speaking or contributing to a local charity/event are ways to do so. 2. Content Is King Whether this be your web content, blog content or social media content, great content is one of the most important things you can put time and effort in to. People trust companies who write content that they can relate to, benefit from or read to gain knowledge they seek. Your content is the place to show them you know what you are talking about which create trust and value for your brand. 3. You Reap What You Sow This saying is an oldie but a goodie. While we are not saying you need to boost your competitors brand, but giving shoutouts and promoting other local businesses will benefit your company and overall brand. Recommend others, they will return that favor. 4. Remain Consistent Regardless of your efforts to boost your brand, consistency will always be key. It’s good to try new tactics, however, always make sure your brand stays consistent. Try marketing in new places with a fresh campaign versus designing a whole new look/design. Creating multiple visual appearances for your brand could cause brand confusion. 5. Strengthen From Within Your hear about company culture and the way businesses treat their employees are a regular basis. We live in a world of transparency.  Due in large part to the internet and social media, this is a time where consumers as a whole like to boycott, voice their opinions and shame companies for doing anything wrong. Disgruntled employees or customers won’t hesitate to rant on social media about anything done wrong or wrong in their opinion. Regardless of the reason and if it was justified, this can hurt a brand.  By treating your employees well, being transparent with details to a certain extent and always offering solutions to issues when necessary, you will strengthen your brand. There is bound to be conflict, it’s how to approach conflict and solve issues that matters. Creating a great work environment for your employees will in return create company advocates. They will post, tweet and speak out against any potential naysayers and promote your brand because they are happy. Are there any other ways you can think of or things you do to boost your brand? We would love to hear about them in the comments!
